Southern Cruisers Dealer Dice Dash for D.A.R.E

Saturday, May 22nd 2004

The Southern Cruisers are hosting a Dice Run to benefit
D.rug A.buse R.esistance E.ducation in Alaska.

When: Saturday May 22nd. Registration and Breakfast 08:30 to 10:00. Breakfast buffet $7.50.

Where: Registration and Breakfast will be at the Country Kitchen, 346 E. 5th Ave.

What: Dice cards are $10.00 per rider or $15.00 for two. 50/50 split the pot and many great door prizes donated from local bike shops and businesses. Payout will be 40% for Highest card, 20% 2nd Highest and
%10 for Lowest hand. Ties will be decided by a dice roll for highest points. Proceeds go to support the D.A.R.E. program in Alaska schools.

The ride will be "ride your own ride" and stopping at the participating business in Anchorage and then out to the Valley and will end at the Trading Post Lodge, mile 69.5 Parks Hwy, right on Willow Station Rd., cross the tracks and turn left.

Some door prizes will be awarded at each stop (business) and some at the end of the ride in Willow. Not all stops are dice rolls, but we aren't saying which ones are, so you'll just have to make sure to hit each stop. We will have people to roll the dice until 1pm in Anchorage. Payout will be awarded in Willow at the Trading Post Lodge at 5pm giving everyone plenty of time to make their way out to the last stop (Ron Harvey's Classic Cycles) in Palmer and then out to Willow. Since this is a "ride your own" ride, we encourage people to take the scenic routes.

The Stops: You are riding your own ride, but must make each stop in Anchorage no later than 1pm, as dice rolls will stop. There is no particular order, you are free to make your own route through town. Businesses will have winning door prize numbers at their counters. It is up to you to see if you've won! The Eagle River and Palmer stops have no time limit other than to make sure you get to Willow before 5pm!

Anchorage A.B.A.T.E. is hosting their annual Break-Up run there as well, so for those that wish to stay there is FREE camping available, showers, sauna, cabins can be rented (call the lodge for reservations 495-1695). A.B.A.T.E. will also be holding a raffle at 10pm for a couple of scooters. Tickets are on sale at Alaska Leather for $10.00 each.

There will be a dinner buffet for under $10.00 and live music by Full Tilt courtesy of Anchorage A.B.A.T.E. and the Trading Post Lodge.
